Mortlach 27yo That Boutique-y Whisky Co Review

Another special one here. Old Mortlach!

This was another that I paid to try at the festival. I usually really like Mortlach in Sherry and I've heard good things about the older stuff. This is Bourbon though.

Mortlach indies has been rising in price since Diageo took notice of it and released a range in those 50cl bottles at frankly ridiculous prices. This is no different.

Mortlach 27 TBWC 52.6%
Colour: Amber
Body: Full
Nose: Intensely perfumed, intensely floral, very fragrant oak.
Water: Geranium, lavender, bath bombs, lilac, chamomile.
Taste: Intense, floral, perfumed, rich oak, Sherry, European oak. Aromatic and balanced.
Water: Rich, raisin, oak, spicy, lavender, long development.
Finish: Long length. Spiced and fruity.
Notes: A really big whisky. But hugely expensive.
