Hi everyone,
Me again, this time with some Talisker. This version caused a bit of a stir when it was released as people thought it would be replacing the 10yo. Thankfully, (at least where I am) the 10yo coexists harmoniously with the Skye. Weirdly they are normally the same price, but Skye is constantly on deal at about £25, whereas the 10yo remains pretty constant.

Talisker Skye 45.8%
Colour: Diageo GoldTM
Body: Medium/Full
Nose: Pretty classic. Sea spray, black pepper, fresh ginger, orange marmalade, apple and pear esters (similar to Storm).
Taste: It's Talisker. More fruity maybe than the 10yo, but it's still great. A little weak starting maybe. Sea spray, black pepper, apple, orange marmalade, ginger then more white pepper.
Finish: Medium/Long length. Quite spicy with white pepper, ginger and more salt.
Even NAS Talisker proves its provenance. Impressive, better than Storm. Thank the whisky Gods they kept this at 45.8%, any less would have killed it and a lot of their fanbase would have raised pitchforks.
72/100
Thanks for reading!
