O'Catháin 8 Irish Single Malt Review

Hi everyone,

I've got another nice Irish Whiskey today. I'd never seen this bottle before and that always makes me curious.
It's a release from 2016 from Cooley distillery and comes at a reasonable price of £30 in some random little wine shops in the UK.

O'Catháin 8 Single Malt 40%
Colour: Light Gold
Body: Light/Medium
Nose: Really natural and classically Irish but not too much. Tropical fruit with some mango, banana and oats. Lovely.
Taste: Great mouthfeel for 40%. Slightly tropical but very natural, some spicy malt and oats, dried banana, some chalk.
Finish: Medium length. A burst of slightly rubbery tropical fruit.
Oh, if only it was 46%! Really digging these more natural Irish whiskies.
72/100

Thanks for reading!
