Evan Williams Single Barrel 2007 Review

Hi everyone,

Milan was my next stop but the festival I was at was quite quiet (it was the weekend before the BIG Milan whisky festival), this meant I had some spare time to try a few whiskies and I made a big effort to try more Bourbon. Or more accurately, I thought, why not taste every Bourbon/American whiskey I hadn’t tried so far?
First up was a single barrel Evan Williams from Heaven Hill distillery.

Evan Williams 2007 Single Barrel 43.3%
Colour: Bronze
Body: Medium
Nose: Spiced honey, orange juice, dry oak, quite floral.
Taste: Spiced honey again, sweet arrival, orange, quite chewy texture, orange peel.
Finish: Medium length. More spicy here with some pepper.
A little nicer than the standard EW, this one is more complex.
73/100

Thanks for reading!
